Leopard Print Deco

After my first deco lid you know I had to try a leopard print and I am super pleased with how it turned out. I did not cover it with top coat this time and it is insanely sparkly!

NailDeRoyale Review

NailDeRoyale contacted me a few weeks ago and kindly offered to send a few things if I liked their shop and would be willing to place a link on my blog. Since they have several brands of polish along with supplies and ship internationally I agreed. It does state in the shipping info that some items cannot be shipped outside the US though. The shipping on my package was about two weeks, not awesome but not horrible either.
The first thing I noticed was China Glaze For Audrey, I have wanted it for a while so I was excited to receive it. They also sent me Omega nail art striper in Hot Orange and Truth of Isis hearts in Fall In Love and Lovely Day.
There isn't much to say about the China Glaze but I adore the color.
I love the Omega striper, it was fantastic, opaque in one swipe and the brush was very thin, great for designs. If I still used polish for most of my nail art I would choose these over the Kiss or other brands I have tried.
The Isis hearts was great quality. I haven't used them in a design yet but I did test them and they do not bleed. I am not sure what I will use them on but I have seen them used in nail art often.

I did a simple scrolling design with For Audrey and the Omega striper.

Have you heard of them before or placed an order with them?
They offer several polish brands like Nubar, Zoya, China Glaze and Orly that are difficult for me to get so I am happy I found out about them.

Deco Polish Caps

I couldn't resist, deco really is addictive! My cuticle oil seems like it will last me forever and I love it so why wouldn't I make it shiny? The one thing I would have done different is not cover the rhinestones with top coat. It really killed a lot of the bling.

When I was out a few days ago I also picked these up. The doughnut was too cute. I am not sure what I will use them on though. Any suggestions?

Yukata Inspired

The Tanabata festival was held this weekend and I did my nails to match my Yukata. Tanabata is the festival about two lovers who can only meet once a year, on the seventh day of the seventh month. Even though it is supposed to be on the seventh many towns celebrate at different times and here it is the last weekend of July. For the most part it is people writing wishes on paper, hanging them on decorations and enjoying festival food and games.
A Japanese friend invited us over and gave me this Yukata last weekend to test fit for the festival and I went back so she could help me put everything on. I tried my best to remember the design after we left so I could paint my nails to match but I forgot most of it. All I could remember was white with black lines, pink, purple and maybe blue flowers with gold butterfly's. The print is gorgeous though and I love it!
Unfortunately, it rained a little the day we went so I didn't get any pictures at the festival but I did take pictures of Yukata design and my nails after.

Did you do anything over the weekend?

Deco Nail File

Deco is short for deco denwa which means decoration phone. Basically it is covering something with stones and other decorative pieces. It has moved to many more items than phones though. From phones, to nails nothing is safe from deco.
Since I have a huge amount of rhinestones and deco bits at the moment I figured why not play around. I had a glass file I found at the dollar store here and decided to use that. For my first try at deco on something other than my nails I think it went well.

 Have you tried deco yet?

Canmake Polish

Over the weekend we saw the last Harry Potter movie, which was great, and went to the Hanabi Festival in Towada. Since I took off my Deathly Hallows mani I really wanted to try a polish I have had for a few weeks but haven't gotten a chance.
Today I used a Japanese brand called Canmake. It is a beautiful pink with blue/purple shimmer. I really love the color but I do not like it with my skin tone. It was also sheer, it took three coats but could have used a fourth.

The Deathly Hallows

Sorry for the crappy photos, no matter how many pictures I took, none of them would turn out right. Anyways, I wanted to share this before the last movie releases on Friday.
The background is supposed to look like the clouds you usually see from the openings. On the thumbs I have  HP for Harry Potter and the symbol for the Deathly Hallows. Hedwig and the Snitch are on my index fingers with Harry and Voldemort on the ring fingers.
This design really frustrated me and I almost didn't finish it, I had no idea what design I wanted and my stickers did not want to cooperate. I am most happy about the Snitch. It turned out way better than I thought it would.
Although I like it, I am not it love with it. I wish I had spent a little more time on this one.

Will you be seeing the last Harry Potter Movie this weekend? Are you doing any nail art for it?

Pink Sponged Tiger/Zebra With Tutorial

I didn't want to do anything difficult today so I ended up doing my pink and white tiger design from a while back. It is very easy and I thought I would show you how.
You can use any color you want but I like the pink and white. Start off with your base color, I used two coats of Alpine Snow. Don't worry about cleaning up yet, that will be the last step before topcoat.

When the white is dry sponge pink on the tips. I used a nail art sponge I purchased here but a makeup sponge, clean dish sponge cut into a small piece, the cheap eye shadow sponges you get that you never use or anything you can find like that will work.
I put two coats Elephantastic Pink on and lightly sponged towards the cuticle so it would look somewhat splattered.

After you get the tips finished start making stripes. I always start my stripes in the middle of my nail for some reason. Anyway you like yours would be perfect though, slanted would be interesting I think.

Finish all the nails with stripes and add glitter to a few stripes, clean up around the cuticles, add topcoat and you are done.

This is one of my favorite designs. Simple, quick and easy.
Have you tried gradient or animal print nails, do you like them?

Naked!

After I took my 4Th of July mani off today, a full week with no chips or tipwear, I decided that my nails needed to be shortened, badly. They were getting too long for my taste. You can see my piercing had grown out pretty far and I wanted to get rid of that. I don't know what I want to put on right now and most likely I will not polish my nails until tomorrow so I figured I would show you my nails naked.
The first picture is right after removing the polish.

Here they are shorter and cleaned up.

Usually I don't have problems with staining even with colors like black if I used a basecoat and remove it carefully.
Do any of you have problems like staining?
